Thank goodness these are actually AFFORDABLE now. The replacement was only $31 🤭 It’s nuts how plant prices have gone down so much. If you told me a year ago I could get a variegated Frydek for this much, I would never have believed it. But this original mama plant is SO special to me. This was my wish list plant forever and my fairy corm mother granted me my wish and so the sentimental attachment I have to this plant is great, so I’m going to do everything I can to save her. Each of her six babies is also huge so I know these will be healthy plants once they root. Now it’ll just be a waiting game to see if the mama passed on her variegated genes. If you haven’t dug around for corms in your Alocasia plants, I highly recommend it in your next repot because corms are the BEST insurance policy ever.
