This car was bought new at Garfield Chevrolet in Milwaukee. Driven until 1973 then parked in a heated garage until 2013. The 2nd owner bought it and he gave it a high performance drive line. Only 400 miles since the upgrade. EXTERIOR: All original metal with no rust or damage, everything lines up nicely. Looking down the sides, it's straight. Doors shut like new even with the windows rolled up. It is still wearing most of its original Nevada Silver paint! It presents itself very nicely with just mild patina. The chrome and trim are all straight and shiny. That is the original white vinyl top and it's in excellent shape. The glass including the windshield is original and crystal clear. It was given a set of 15 inch rally wheels and BFG tires. INTERIOR: Wow, I am sitting inside the car and it looks practically brand new but it's original! Down on the floor is nice blue carpet with the original rubber mats. The seats still have firm cushion, and the blue fabric is excellent. The door panels are mint including the armrests and window cranks. In front of me the dash pad has no cracks, the woodgrain instrument panel is mint. Original am radio, steering wheel, instruments, vents, knobs, and heater control panel are excellent. The cigarette lighter doesn't look like it's ever been used, the glovebox still has the manual. They did add a Sport Comp tachometer to the column and matching water and oil gauges down below. The headliner, visors and mirror are mint. All the original seat belts are in excellent shape. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's a Tri-Star Performance crate motor. 383 stroker dyno tested at 479 hp and 476 lbs of torque. It has dyno sheet and receipts. It includes a set of aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, Quickfuel carb. Hooker headers, Street Fire HEI ignition system. Radiator was recored, upgraded with an Edelbrock aluminum water pump. It has power brakes. The engine bay is very clean original. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb still have beautiful original paint. The original stickers are still in good shape. It has original weatherstrip with the line at the top to assist assembly workers. Inside it has the original spatter finish paint from the factory. Original mat is brittle. Someone did add a fire extinguisher. UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension looks like it has been completely rebuilt. Shocks, springs, and upper control arm bushings were replaced in back. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, crossover pipe and turn down tips. 7 quart oil pan, the builder's ID tag is on the side of the block. The # matching Turbo 350 automatic got a performance rebuild with a Hughes converter and 2,200 stall. The driveshaft still has factory paint markings on it. Professionally built 12 bolt rear end with 4.10 Richmond gears, Yukon posi and HD axles, new bearings and seals. The rear end was bead blasted then painted. Rock solid all original metal. Best of both worlds. A sweetheart original car with a high-performance driveline. I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership. Visit our website to see over 300 vehicles for sale! http://www.volocars.com Also check out our...
