FULL DISCLOSURE: My lady made the whole head, I just mounted it! MATERIALS: • 5 foam blocks (for head sculpture) • 2 cans of Great Stuff (expanding foam) • 1 sea serpent carcass (everyone has one, just look HARDER) • black and white felt (PRO TIP: You may have to pay Tim Burton royalties, but if you ring up the order separate, buy your black on one receipt, and your white on another, JoAnn Fabrics won't report you!) • foam clay (for teeth and tongue) • aluminum foil (for tongue base) • "monster mud" ( a mix of 5:1 of drywall joint compound and exterior paint) the monster mud was for coating the foam... • acrylic paint (for final paint and detailing) TOOLS: • 2 car batteries (don't use) • 1 back yard • 1 living room (large preferred) • baby pool (for foam containment) • trampoline canvas (to further contain loose foam bits) • quite talented wife (may be substituted for yourself, results may vary) • hot knife and power turkey knife • files, rasp and sandpaper • hot glue gun • 847 hot glue sticks • 1 mig welder (for repairing the serpent carcass you found. omit if not needed) • self-motivation, manifested at will
