Maroon Bells 4 Pass Trail Run 27 miles at 13 years old!

For the fourth time since 2020, Nyla and her Girldad circumnavigate the 27 mile-43.5 kilometer (4 12,00ft-3,600m + mountain passes) trail loop around Colorado's famous Maroon Bells! Our first trek through this extremely scenic mountainous region of the Colorado Rockies was a one night backpacking trip in July of 2020. Soon after we attempted the first trail run of the circuit. Nyla was just 10 years old!! We had such a great time that we repeated the trail run again in 2021. As the summer of 2023 began to slip away, we chose an absolutely beautiful late September day to once again, have an outing in the Maroon-Snowmass Wilderness that will never be forgotten! At age 13, Nyla crushed this network of trails like never before. Patiently waiting on her "not having a great day" father, Nyla seemed completely in her zone on this challenge of the Maroon Bells 4 Pass Loop!
