Mickey Mania (Sega Genesis) - Full Deathless Playthrough on Hard

To celebrate Steamboat Willie becoming public domain, I thought it'd be a lovely idea to attempt to beat my favourite Mickey Mouse game on the hardest difficulty. For those unaware, what hard mode does is that it removes all fireworks, which act as checkpoints, so you must repeat certain sections from the beginning if you die. If you're interested, here are my overviews for each stage of the game. -Steamboat Willie This is a fairly basic stage and shouldn't cause you much trouble. I've beaten it plenty of times even as a kid. The trick for the boss at the end is that you wanna bounce on the lower gear and hit the top one with marbles. -Mad Doctor Despite being only the second stage, it's one of the longest in the game with four different sections. You can find a secret area with stars and an extra life if you walk back into the elevator. The boss for this stage is the most annoying and tricky one in the whole game because of the overwhelming amount of things you need to dodge. -Moose Hunters Another simple one. You basically just walk to the right until you reach the finish line. The second section takes place on a new 3D PERSPECTIVE! WOAAH! But I'm not really a fan of it because Mickey honestly controls like a car during it. Still neat for a Sega Genesis. -Lonesome Ghosts The platforming here can be very janky because of the weird collision detection on the moving platforms. And I particularly don't like the water section in the second half, I can't find a way to consistently do it without taking damage at the end. -Mickey and the Beanstalk A pretty annoying stage with a ton of enemies with bad hitboxes and a ton that are outright unkillable. The mosquitos in particular are placed in the absolute worst spots at times. But it's also kind of necessary so you can save up marbles for the final stage. -The Prince and the Pauper The grand finale. The entire game was practically a build up for this one stage. It's the longest, and rightfully so, with four to five sections. Oh, and there are TWO AUTO SCROLLERS BACK TO BACK!!! Just lovely. The boss isn't too bad though, I still think Mad Doctor beats Pete to the punch. Welp, this is an unusual upload for my channel but I hope you enjoy it regardless. Have a good one!
