Noorjahan Akbar has advocated for education and women's rights in Afghanistan for years. Here, she shares her personal journey for getting an education and the impact that education has on empowering women around the world and in Afghanistan. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
