While India was in the mood to celebrate its 75th Year of Independence on 15th August,2022, we took the opportunity to appreciate some of the natural wonders and man-made megastructures that not only contributed in the wellbeing of the country-men but maintained the ecology of the region and India. We went to the Mahi River Dam, that stored water for irrigation & drinking not only for Rajasthan, but for Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat states of India. We also went to Chacha kota back water created by the Mahi River dam, this storage and flooding of the Banswara region has resulted to form 100 islands which is a fertile land for the local farmers and tribals of this region, also called the Fairyland of Rajasthan. We ended our long day trip at the Anand Sagar Reservoir which is another attractive tourist place of Banswara, Rajasthan.
