Structure always second. Put all your material on the wall and then structure the story from it. 5:58 - Tip 04 - RELATE DEEPLY to your characters and draw from your PERSONAL experience. 8:07 - Tip 05 - Write COMPLEX characters with MULTIPLE LAYERS that the actors will be eager to play. 10:14 - Tip 06 - If you have a character that is careless and unlikable on the outside - show their pain underneath and build in them a lot of HUMANITY to make them likeable. 11:58 - Tip 07 - Write RELATABLE characters with whom everybody can identify with. 12:47 - Tip 08 - If you’re an actor/actress write as if you're NOT AFRAID and write TRUTHFULLY like writing your DIARY. That way you’ll learn so much about the character. 14:13 - Tip 09 - If you wrote a tv pilot, try to attract quality production crew who will shoot it for cheap because they like your writing. After a well shot pilot, it’s much easier to get funding for the whole series. 15:36 - Tip 10 - Comedy and drama are intrinsically linked. The trick is to find the right balance between the two. 17:05 - Outro Follow us on our main Instagram:   / outstanding.screenplays   Follow us on our video Instagram:   / outstandingscreenplays   Follow us on Twitter:   / outscreenplays   Follow us on Facebook:   / outstandingscreenplays   Support us on Patreon:   / outstandingscreenplays   #PhoebeWallerBridge #Fleabag #Screenwriter
