Daniel Brummel and the Contraband was Daniel Brummel of Ozma's solo act from 1997 to 2005. In 2001 he got asked to do a song for Skunk Ape Record's Weezer tribute album, and he provided this incredible cover. (Apparently Skunk Ape Records ripped all the artists they got for the album off and never gave them the money they were owed but that's another story). The only other upload of this on Youtube was cut off, so I decided to upload a full version. Side Note: Weezer would actually provide a cover for Skunk Ape's next tribute album A Different Shade of Green: A Tribute to Green Day, where they did Worry Rock. Presumably they didn't get ripped off.
