Thanks to the folks who corrected me! Woodland Gardens and mature Food Forests with closed canopies can sometimes be tricky places for which to select groundcover plants. But groundcovers help prevent erosion, hold in moisture, create habitat for wildlife (including forage for pollinators), and increase diversity and beauty in our shady garden spots.
