We take the often confusing and complicated subject and try and have heart blocks made easy to understand. We start off covering the different bundle branch blocks that you will often see in your patients. We talk about how you should be using your V lead for this interpretation unlike Lead II for all the others we have discussed as well as we talk about some of the causes, defining characteristics and ultimately how to differentiate between a left and a right bundle branch block. From there we move on to our AV blocks and we cover the whole gamut of blocks from 1st degree, to 2nd degree type I (Wenckebach), to 2nd degree type II, and finally 3rd degree or complete heart block. We explain what the problem is in the conduction system with each of these which lead to the different blocks that you see on ecg. We also set some defined criteria to look at and compare between these 4 blocks to help to make it easier to be able to identify each. They all have their own unique characteristics which can be useful for telling them apart. Our goal is by the end of this lesson that you will have the knowledge and tools that you need to start practicing identifying these various heart blocks with your patients. They can be tricky at first, but if you take the information we give you in this lesson, take some time, and dedicate some practice, you can get these down! 6-second ECG: https://www.skillstat.com/tools/ecg-s... +-+-+-+-+ Make sure and check out all the lessons in this series on EKG Interpretation here: • ECG/EKG Interpretation +-+-+-+-+ Please if you enjoyed this video or found it useful, hit the like button as this greatly helps our channel out!
