Blue Solutions - Inspiring solutions for sustainable use & conservation of marine biodiversity

The global Blue Solutions Initiative supports the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and partner countries to implement the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in the context of marine and coastal biodiversity. Blue Solutions is coordinated by GIZ and implemented in partnership with GRID-Arendal, IUCN and UNEP. The Blue Solutions Initiative collates and shares inspiring solutions that help overcome developmental and conservation challenges in the marine and coastal realm. The aim is to inspire others and enable up-scaling, so that healthy and productive oceans will continue to benefit human wellbeing for generations to come.
