Planning your classroom adventures - Intro to ESL Lesson Planning (Part 1)

For a list of 50+ popular activities you can use for teaching ESL and to get your students practicing a second language, check out our helpful guide called "Fun Activities for Teaching English": https://citizenstesol.org/fun-activities Next, we are going to show you how to plan out the “adventures” you and your students will take inside your classroom. So that you always know: what your destination is going to be at the end of the day, how long it’s going to take, what things you will need to take with you, and so on. So that you’ll always have a good idea of what to expect and you’ll never miss an important stop or landmark along the way. The "road map" for these adventures is what we call a lesson plan. And we’re going to show you how to create your own lesson plans, starting first with a simplified version that you can use to make quick-and-easy lesson plans in only a few minutes, and then we’ll follow that up with a much more detailed version of a lesson plan that we’ll be using for most of this course.
