Join me for a walk around Slough - a town that you might not at first think as the home of a rich history and genuinely riveting cultural heritage. Though much derided for its modernist architecture in the 20th century, Slough today is actually home to a wide variety of captivating landmarks new and old, while also the site of a number of fascinating stories including the invention of the Mars Bar, the birth of the Thunderbirds, and of course, The Office. On our walk around Slough, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including Slough Tesco Extra, Slough Bus Station, The Curve, St. Ethelbert's Church, Slough High Street, the former Coachmakers Arms pub, Queensmere Shopping Centre, the Bird Tree, Slough Town Square, The Herschel Arms pub, St. Mary's Church and the beautiful Herschel Park.
