Eidfjord municipality begins at sea level along the fjord, the valleys leading away from the fjord are surrounded by high mountains which lead up to the alpine plateau called Hardangervidda. "ODDA" - has a proud industrial heritage; the town played a pioneering role in Norway’s industrialisation. It is situated at the head of the Sørfjorden, the southernmost end of the famous Hardangerfjord. The 180 kilometer long Hardangerfjord is the second longest fjord in Norway. The Oddadalen Valley has the famous waterfalls like Låtefoss and Tjørnadalsfossen Waterfalls. Buerdalen Valley and Buerbreen Glacier at Odda. Join a Boat Fjord Safari in the fjord. In the middle of Sørfjorden, you find the beautiful village Lofthus. Dronningsstien, one of Her Majesty Queen Sonja´s favorite hiking trails. From Odda you can also take an amazing hiking trip to the Trolltunga with great views!
