25 or 50?! Does your "age" change what you get in a StitchFix box?

Hi Everyone! I've often felt like StitchFix used the age you set in your account to determine what products they send you. I don't think this is "ageist", necessarily, but for me, I get a lot of items that are perhaps more "conservative" than I would like to wear. I'm not sure if anyone else has felt this way, but I wondered "What would happen if I created a new account, and told StitchFix that I was 25 years old?", so I did just that. Follow along to see what the 50 year old me got, and compare that to what the 25 year old me did! Spoilers below... stop reading here if you want to be surprised ---- I believe that StitchFix DOES evolve their offering based on your feedback, because some of the items in my "50 year old" box definitely skewed towards the a more youthful look. I also believe that the first box of any subscription is going to be slightly "off" regardless, and that StitchFix is still experimenting with your style to try to find items that you'll be inclined to buy. That said, I believe this first experiment has shown me that StitchFix does select different products (both in style and quality) for different age groups, despite the style overlap. What about you? Have you ever "ever so slightly modified" your age for a subscription box? What was your experience like? Do you think I should stick with the 25 year old box or stick with the 50 year old box?
