All semi-permanent colors will fade, but not all fade equally. Arctic Fox is formulated to fade within the original color spectrum, so as the color fades, the shades will continue to be the same gorgeous hue. This also means that your base color is very important to your end result. For the most vivid, long-lasting results, apply to pre-lightened hair. I bought the Virgin Pink color. I had looked at all the picture reviews prior to buying it and it seemed like everybody had theirs lighter than what came out on my hair. Even though it's not what I'd expected, many people say the color suits me very well. I'm glad and I ended up liking it too =) Another good thing is it doesn't smell bad at all. I love the smell. It smells like those fruity scented markers that you had as a kid. Yum! So I have 3 photos. One is my hair color before adding the color. 2 is right after the application. and 3 is what it looks dry and in natural light. 2) Manic Panic Purple Haze Hair Dye Teenage daughter of account owner here. My virgin hair is a dark brown and I bleached it to a yellow (not super pale either). I shampooed then blow dried my hair, then I applied the manic panic purple haze dye (it was fairly easy) and left it in for about 2 hours with a shower cap. I used a blow dryer for maybe 6 minutes to warm the ends in an attempt to make it more purple. Idk if it actually helped but then again I didn’t do if for that long. It came out decently purple. You can’t really tell in poor lighting, especially at night. In the sun or in good lighting it’s very obvious. Oh also I put it on my whole head and it turned the brown black. I thought it may give it a purple sheen in the sun but it didn’t, it’s just black. Next time I’ll just put it on the bleached parts. I’ve gone in the pool and washed it once since I applied it a couple days ago. It stayed pretty well. The ends are a bit grayer now? But it’s definitely still purple. 3) L'Oreal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Color: I LOVE this produce. I’ve used the light pink, pink and purple and have loved the results with ALL of them. I naturally have almost black hair but because I’ve had it lightened A LOT, the color really did show. The first two pics are what it looked like when I mixed the purple and light pink, the next two are just the purple, next pics show what it looks like just after 1 wash and the last pic is what my hair color is without any color on it. I’m a nurse at a private practice and a majority of our patients are 60+ yrs old so tattoos and “wild hair” tend to cause negative feedback. After I washed my hair just once it did fade quite a bit, says lasts 2-4 washes, but even with just a hint of the color left I got so much positive feedback. I am def. going to order more to have on hand!
