Tour at the Switzerland Pavilion #SwissPavilion @Swiss_Pavilion at Dubai World #Expo2020 with a big entrance reflecting the Swiss flag with umbrellas, then inside walking up a Swiss mountain with fog, then going down in the Swiss caves talking about innovative ideas that Switzerland would like to promote in terms of recycling, 3D printing, education, promoting startups in technology and more. Located in the Opportunity district, the Swiss Pavilion offers a journey divided into three main acts highlighting Swiss nature and Swiss innovations. The selected project ‘Reflections’ is produced by Presence Switzerland, the public diplomacy agency of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), and designed in collaboration with the Swiss creative team: OOS AG (architecture, general planning), Bellprat Partner AG (scenography) and Lorenz Eugster Landscaping GmbH (landscape architecture). It is built by Expomobilia. The Swiss Pavilion at Dubai Expo has been named as the Best Medium Pavilion as part of the World Expo Awards handed out by “Exhibitor” magazine. The Pavilion is also featured in the 10 outstanding pavilions as “A2 Certificate & Veneration and Innovative Achievement Memorial Icon” by 2A magazine. Visitors start their journey on the red carpet then through the pavilion in the Sea of Fog, a unique and immersive experience. Emerging from the fog a surprising view of a Swiss mountain panorama is revealed. The journey continues with a Schindler room’s exhibition about the future of mobility and ends with the fountains of innovations, highlighting the topnotch Swiss innovations in different fields aligned with the Expo 2020 Dubai thematic weeks. The walk in the sea of fog forms one of the central showpieces of the Swiss Pavilion. The effect is in a constant state of flux for the visitors, so that at the end a Swiss mountain panorama becomes visible. The expert jury of the Exhibitor magazine also voted this installation as the third best staging element of the Expo in terms of the interpretation of the theme. The Swiss Pavilion was not only well received by the jury of the Exhibitor World Expo Awards and the jury of 2A magazine. With a total of 1.5 million visitors so far, it is one of the five most popular installations at Expo 2020 as a whole. In total, 19 million people have so far visited the world exhibition in Dubai, which will be brought to a close at the end of March. The Swiss Pavilion relies on a public-private partnership model, including partners: Schindler, Rolex SA, Switzerland Tourism, Clariant, Novartis, Roche, Nestlé Middle East and North Africa and KGS Diamond Group Ltd – and numerous suppliers.
