Specifications: 16 Foot “Whitewater” river canoe. Length=16 feet / 4.87 meters Beam=36 inches / 91.4 cm Depth=13 inches / 33 cm Stem Height=24 inches / 60.9 cm Weight=66 pounds / 29.9 kg / 4.7 stone Product Disclaimer: We are not sponsored by any of these companies or products, but were pleased with the results. Epoxy: MarineGuard 8000. We took a chance on this product having been committed users of West System Epoxies for 3 other marine projects. But, the MarineGuard product was beautifully clear and extremely hard after curing at a lower overall cost. Stands up really well to sand and gravel too as we launch the canoe. We liked it. Marine Varnish: This was our first trial using Total Boat’s Gleam product and it exceeded our expectations. It layered out well on our hull and trim and produced a beautiful shine. Two thumbs up on this product. Fiberglass: We had some trouble locally finding 60” cloth at a long enough length to cover our 16 foot canoe with a 36 inch beam. Props go our to Fiberglass Supply Depot for answering our need at a reasonable cost. https://fiberglasssupplydepot.com/ Cherry Trim: Locally sourced and custom milled at L.L. Johnson Lumber, Charlotte, MI. Take Care: Please read all safety and operating instructions when using any power tool and especially when using chemicals like epoxy and varnish. Wear all protective equipment recommended and live to woodwork another day!
