We got hands-on with the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo CarbonGold during Geneva Watch Days 2023 and this is what we have to say. It has got to be the best Octo Finissimo till date since the first was introduced in 2014. It is the best, not just technically but by aesthetics too. This is the first time Bulgari is applying carbon material to its watch, and this carbon you see is a Anthracite forged-carbon, which explains the patterns on the material, and if I may emphasize, would mean that every piece of CarbonGold would feature a different pattern. Piece Unique. Even the bracelet links are made of the forged carbon. Combined with rose gold accents, the Octo Finissimo CarbonGold reeks of class and luxury. It is masculine, yet elegant at the same time. In light of the true marble watch submitted for Only Watch 2023, the CarbonGold really came at the right time with a "Marble-like" texture and further promote Bulgari's Italian roots, a country historically known for their mastery in marble works. Crowned the thinnest perpetual calendar movement in 2021, the calibre BVL 305 powers the Perpetual Calendar model, while the Time-only iteration is driven by the micro-rotor calibre BVL 138.
