My Comic Art Journey: From Traditional to Digital and Back To Traditional

In this final part of this "My Comic Art Journey" in making comic art, I talk about my foray into digital art in Procreate. Creating what I called "character paintings", I began to see the value in designing characters first before drawing my comic book art. Something I never really did before! I talk about the appeal of drawing comics digitally on the iPad using Procreate. This all started when I began to draw my Realm Ethereal series as a comic book story. You see, for a time, I fancied myself a "fantasy artist". It's largely what drove me as an artist from around 2019-2023. It's what got me hyper excited about painting digitally. But then, the allure of comics, my great calling, once again beckoned me. I realized a truth about myself that cemented itself more so ever as an artist: I am a comic book artist at heart and always will be. Here are some key moments in the video: The art book I self-published featuring my original character designs as finished paintings. This served as a way for me to create all the characters in my indie comic, The Realm Ethereal:    • My Comic Art Journey: From Traditiona...   Talking about making comic book in Procreate:    • My Comic Art Journey: From Traditiona...   The one original drawing the grounded me back into drawing my comics traditionally again:    • My Comic Art Journey: From Traditiona...   Check out my comic book The Realm Ethereal: https://www.renearreola.com/the-dream... #comicart #comicbookillustration #indiecomics #indiecomicbooks
