Hawa mahal is so called because it has about 953 windows through which breeze flows and keeps the palace cool. 4. All the Jaipur royals utilized this building as their summer retreat. 5. Hawa mahal was designed by Lal Chand Ustad. 6. The building was especially erected for the royal ladies of Jaipur. 7. The purpose of this building was to allow the royal ladies to watch all the activities of the local marketplace without being seen. 8. Hawa mahal is built in the shape of the Lord Krishna's crown. 9.
