Here’s some useful info:You can get here by car or by train. By car from Interlaken it takes about 45 mins on the A8 highway and then Route 223 fr Speiz. Once in Kandersteg, park at the Oeschinensee Cable Car Station (there’s a large parking lot available). By train, take the train from Interlaken Ost to Spiez (approximately 20 minutes) then from Spiez, catch a direct train to Kandersteg (another 30 minutes). Once you are in Kandersteg either walk for 15-20 minutes or hop on Bus 242 which takes you right infront of Oeschinensee Gandola Station. Ticket prices: A return ticket on the Oeschinen cable car costs around CHF 32 for adults and CHF 16 for children (check for seasonal discounts).There is a Discount of 50% on Half Fare card or Swiss pass. If you have Berner Oberland Pass then the gandola ride is free. Opening hours: The cable car operates daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM in the summer, with shorter hours in the winter. Be sure to arrive early to avoid crowds! Best time to visit: Summer months (June-August) are perfect for hiking, while winter transforms the lake into a frozen wonderland for ice fishing and snowshoeing.Don't miss the toboggan run if you're visiting in summer—it's an adrenaline-packed ride with stunning views of the valley! There is an Electric shuttle which runs on Route C (also called Route 4) and takes you from the station to the Hotel near the Lake.It runs daily from 11am to 4:30/5:30pm depending on the season. Priority is given to families and travellers with reduced mobility.Adults ticket 10 CHF and Children under 13 is 8 CHF.
