Making a Shake Pen from Stainless Steel - Handmade Ballpoint Pen With Shake Mechanism

Last year I stumbled across a so called shake mechanism for ballpoint pens. I found that little thing rather interesting and by the end of last year I started to built my own version of a „Shake Pen“. I really didn‘t expected this project to be so challenging and take me a few months and so many tries. A lot of trial and error and dozens of testpieces were made to find the right dimensions, materials, techniques and order of operations to finally get both a working Shake Pen and a product with pleasantly finish. Despite it‘s simple appearance, a lot of different techniques were used to built the pen including basic turning and milling, deep-hole-drilling, sheet metal bending, electro etching. Especially etching the little symbol to the pens clip was a long journey to get to a satisfying result in the end as it was the first time I experimented with this really cool technique. It's definitely not the last time I used it. I really hope you enjoy this built even if it is a little bit different as the usual content here on the channel. If you have questions or suggestions, write in the comments. I will read them all and try to reply. Thanks for watching my videos. Subscribe to the channel for more mechanical and machining content.
