Berkey Sued: Class action lawsuit against water filter company

While digging around trying to find filters that are good to use in the old Berkey stainless steel canisters, I stumbled upon two lawsuits, one class action that involves all of us who purchased Berkey filters. I'm annoyed after reading the court documents. I'm linking to them so you can read for yourself. Now, these court cases haven't been decided officially yet, they are ongoing. We'll have to wait and see. But, if you're eligible for jury duty, you're able to think through the court documents and form tentative conclusions. I don't trust Berkey or NMC as far as I could throw a Berkey stainless steal canister. I'm also beginning to seriously doubt Jamie Young's lab, but I can’t come to a solid conclusion. How could his results be so different from an IAPMO accredited lab? Maybe Berkey sent him a filter that was supped up or not representative of the typical quality of the filters they sell. And, why does just about every single one of these company's use him? Even ZeroWater and Clearly Filtered. Thankfully ZW and CF have their own NSF certs independent of his lab for a few contaminants. Idk. Verdict still out on Jaime Young and his lab - maybe good, maybe not. They said it could be that the filter needs have water run through it 4x and then the reservoir cleaned before drinking. They also noted that ZeroWater is particularly good at filtering Arsenic, so if that is a concerned with your water, they still recommended using it even with the microplastic issue. My conclusion is still consider using it, but make sure you flush it 4x and then clean and rinse the reservoir thoroughly. I wish all of these companies would quit with plastic and use stainless steel or sturdy glass, but, alas! Clearly Filtered - https://amzn.to/3CTuy02 *IS tested, though NOT certified, to remove Fluoride ... When I made this video, I seriously thought maybe a couple of hundred people would watch it, and I felt uncomfortable trying to make money off of it. More people watched it, and I still kind of feel uncomfortable with monetizing - I posted a video about it -    • Should I monetize my YT account and p...  . But, I decided that as long as I tell the truth, am as transparent as I can reasonably be, don't hurry, and have people in my life holding me accountable, then it's okay to make some money off of my labor. It's not much money (thus far) compared to how much you need to actually buy food, fuel, etc to live. But every little bit helps! ... REPLACE your filters on time according to how much water you use. Remember to do it! They are virtually useless if they go much past their life/service cycle. Yes, it is merely an estimate, YMMV depending on your water quality, but it's the best most of us consumers can do unless we frequently pay to test our water. However you choose to time your replacements: Set reminders for yourself and change the filters! ... I do not expect anyone to pay for my content. But some want to show their appreciation with a gift. If that's you, thank you! Here's how: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/RobertBeaty
