Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad - Freight on the Milk & Honey Line

Recorded on April 16th, 2023 at the Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad. The Middletown and Hummelstown railroad is a shortline railroad located in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, that serves the towns the railroad is named after. And, from these two towns the railroad gets its nickname, the Milk & Honey Line. Mark and Alec held a photo charter on the M&H, featuring some unique spots and power on the M&H line. We start on a foggy morning with a 1970s freight lead by a Western Maryland ALCO S-6 diesel slowly making its way through downtown Middletown cutting straight down Brown Street. And later, a Maintenance of Way train, led by a pair of GE center cabs, makes its way from Swatara Creek back towards Middletown, letting the Western Maryland freight pass before continuing on towards the interchange at the newly constructed Middletown Amtrak Station.
