The Arc of Attrition is a notoriously difficult 100 mile ultra marathon, taking place in January each year, in Cornwall. The Arc 50, is its 50 mile younger brother. Still an incredibly tough race, taking in the beauty of the technical trails along the south west coast path. Starting at the amazing Minack theatre and finishing at Portowan, this is a trail running race thats certainly not for the faint hearted. This was my first attempt at the race. The weather was stunning, with sunshine around every corner. Running uncrewed meant I had very little support on the course, something which would have a huge impact on me as the race progressed...
