Making a bale spike for 3x Heston bales.

In this video I fabricate a bale spike suitable for carrying 3x 120x90 heston bales. First job is to cut the steel box section to length using the chop saw, the box section then needs the holes cutting for the tine bushes to be welded in. This is done on the cnc plasma. The tines are then squared up and welded into the box. This is done with the bottom box and also the two up rights. After the tines have been welded in, the frame is then laid out on the bench, squared up and tacked together. The end caps are welded on, the extra tine bush strengthening plates are cnc plasma cut out and tacked on. The first stage of welding is then done. The bale spike is then taken off the bench, the tines are removed and then the rest of the frame is welded. With the frame laid face down the JCB Q fit brackets are welded on. After all welding in complete, the frame is sprayed with degreased and power washed off. It is the sprayed painted with red oxide and then finished in black. Finally job is to add my stickers, ID plate and refit the tines. Thanks for watching!
