I literally gave away my Cricut Maker 3 after having spent a week playing with xTool's new M1 Ultra. It's a laser machine, craft cutter, inkjet printer, and pen module all in one machine. It's MUCH improved over the first version of the M1, which launched mid-2023. I tested the fine-blade cutting, laser engraving to wood, and the RA2 Pro rotary unit then immediately threw a 100 silicone bottle boot order at it. I mean, WHO DOES THAT? Talk about a trust fall! I cannot express enough how much I love this machine. I didn't have a good place to put the Cricut where it would be accessible, always opting to put it on the floor so I had enough clearance for the mat feeding system. It was really a hassle for me to use, and I never truly trusted if it was cutting in the right spots. Maybe I'm just spoiled by lasers now that the "craft cutter" could never appeal to my workflow.
