The Epic Byzantine series is a musical project where the sounds of modern Greek folk and other traditions are used in thematic conjuction with historical subjects of the Eastern Roman Empire. This composition uses primarily modern Iranian musical sounds and instruments, as well as elements of modern Greek music. Bleschames was a Persian soldier who defected to Belisarius' army during a siege, and went on to be one of his lieutenants; he is mentionned in sources by Procopius.
