The Orb the orb’s adventures beyond the ultraworld Album Review

Dr. Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty formed the Orb in the late 80's during the U.K.'s explosive popularity of acid house and raves. The Orb focused on creating relaxing chilled out vibes, that people could listen to after dancing all night and wanting to calm down. Come hear my review of the Orb's debut album from 1991. Jimmy Cauty who was famous from being one part of the band KLF were putting out amazing acid house / trance-techno jams, prior to the album being released, Jimmy Cauty split with Paterson. Paterson feeling that he didn't want to be perceived as a side project to the KLF decided best to go separate ways. In comes Youth from the Killing Joke rock band. Both Paterson and Youth were friends from school days. They both started writing Little Fluffy Clouds which became an anthem for the ambient-house genre.
