This feria usually takes place in early October and is one of the most important events in Fuengirola. Casetas (tents) are set up throughout the fairgrounds, each offering traditional Andalusian food, drinks, and live music. People dressed in traditional attire, with women wearing trajes de flamenca (flamenco dresses) and men donning traje corto (short jacket and trousers), fill the streets, ready to celebrate. One of the highlights of the night is the dancing of sevillanas, a traditional Andalusian dance that is joyful and rhythmic, accompanied by live music or recorded flamenco. The atmosphere is festive, with fair rides and attractions illuminating the sky, creating a carnival-like ambiance. Horse shows and bullfighting events are also popular during the feria, showcasing Andalusia’s deep-rooted equestrian and bullfighting culture. Food and drinks are a significant part of the celebration, with tapas, jamón, and fried seafood on offer. For drinks, the crowd enjoys fino (sherry wine) and rebujito, a refreshing mix of sherry and lemon soda.
