This week I was thrown the key to the new Hyundai i20N - the second car to join the N division. This Ford Fiesta ST rival is powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharge four cylinder petrol offering 204 along with 275Nm of torque. This power is fed to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual and a limited slip differential that comes as standard - you have to pay extra for that on the ST. 62mph is dealt with in 6.2 seconds, and the top speed is 143mph. As well as offering an LSD the i20N also comes with goodies such as lap timer, drive modes, G meter, plus more. As you would expect, the ride has been dropped and made firmer, bigger brakes are installed and there are also Pirelli P Zero tyres for good measure. It certainly looks as if the I20N has the right ingredients to be on the racetrack, but is it?
