It’s easy to think that when we give, not much happens. That’s because we tend to think of it as a single transaction. We give. They get. The end. But what if there is more to the story? What if God is doing more than we know with our gift? Good news! He is. When we give, we are doing more than we know, because God does more than we could imagine in three key ways: • God works through us – we become a pipeline through which his blessings flow. Instead of holding tightly to what He has given us, we must let it overflow into the needy world around us, allowing God’s glory to shine. • God works with us – we become partners in His mission to renew and restore all things to Himself. Through our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness, we join in the gracious work He has already begun. We become co-creators, shaping His world for good. • God works in us – we become participants in His work of grace within our own hearts. Our giving helps transform us even as we bless others. And as we align our treasure with what He treasures, we reveal the work He is doing in our hearts to make us more like Jesus. What happens when we give? More than we could ever imagine.
