In today's video I talk about winter care and the easy overwintering method for Gunnera manicata / cryptica - the 'Giant Brazilian Rhubarb'! With giant leaves, this huge plant is one of my absolute favourites and is a must have exotic plant in my UK tropical style jungle garden. As we enter mid-November, it's time to cut it back here and I talk through my steps to protect this beast of a plant from hard frosts and prolonged winter freezes. I also talk about Gunnera spring care tips, how to protect from late frosts and also how I'd recommend overwintering or winterizing young and potted plants.
