In fresh revelations in the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute, the Archaeological Survey of India said a temple had been 'demolished' to erect a mosque in Mathura. The ASI said it collated data by tracing 1920 British government findings to conclude that a temple was razed at the contended site. The development comes as a milestone for the ongoing suit seeking the removal of the Shahi Idgah mosque in Mathura.
