Adult Ride Reloaded 1/26/2019 Windrock to Walden ridge to the Widow Maker

We started the day at 8:30 AM with 9 machines. The plan was to run over to Walden's Ridge, then go hit the Widow Maker from the bottom. We made to Walden Ridge with no problems. We had two machines at the Beginning of Walden's Ridge due to being called into work. I was the first across the Gate Keeper...The trucks/Jeeps have really been using this trail a lot. The old line of climbing the 2 rocks to left is gone for most SxS's with out stacking a few rocks. The new line has come in to the right and requires you to hug the rock wall to stay on the ridge. Only problem we had here was a Cut brand new Pro Armor Crawler on the lone Turbo S in the group. We found it had 2 holes, which required I think a total of 10 plugs. He rode the rest of the day on it and it held up fine. While we were repairing Jessie's tire a group of Jeeps showed up and hit the gate keeper bypass and got in front of us. Once we were done repairing the tire we caught up to them on the Wall that leads to the Hog back. Knowing it was going to take them a considerable amount of time to make their way across the hog back, we decided to bypass it and get back out in front of them. Just a little ways up the trail a couple brothers in a Turbo 1K tried to straddle a 4' deep ditch and misjudged the approach and stood their machine up on it's butt, after a good laugh they had him back on all 4's and rolling. the rest of the ridge was pretty uneventful. We had lunch at Panther Rock and then made our way over to the Widow Maker. When we pulled up there was a Jeep and 3-4 SxS's coming off of it. He said there was a large group of jeeps in behind them...I thought he meant they were coming down. Turns out they were climbing the mountain. After waiting at the bottom for about 30 minutes we decided to go ahead and start up, if we met them coming down we would deal with it then. We had a couple machines that had to pull cable, but the rest made it up with out much trouble. We worked our way up to the Widow Maker only to find the large group Jeeps had been climbing the Mountain, not descending it. When we rolled up there was a truck on the Widow Maker and 3 rigs setting at the bottom waiting...one of those being a Bone Stock 2 door Jeep from the early 2000's I think. I can only imagine the effort it took to get that thing this high on the mountain. Once the truck got off of the rocks it was the Jeeps turn...this guy gave that Jeep no mercy...but that was not enough. They wound up pulling cable 3-4 times to get him up the widow maker. The other two had troubles as well but not near as much as the stock Jeep. All in all we waited at the Bottom of the Widow Maker for nearly an Hour for the Jeeps to Clear the top. Once they were out of the way we made our procession up the Widow Maker. We brought 7 Machines up and out without any issues in under 5 minutes. Once up top I quickly jumped out in front of the Jeeps as not get behind them going down the Dragons back or it would be Dark before we got off of this Rock...and we still had a long way to go to get back to the trucks. We rolled back into Wind Rock Parking lot at 8:30 PM with 105 miles behind us.
