This is the Latitude Blvd/Station St/Heyington Av Level Crossing in Thomastown, on the Mernda line, with footage I took in October 2023 This portion of the Mernda line used to be single track and run only as far as Epping. In 2012, the line was extended to South Morang, which included the duplication of the original single track line from Keon Park station to South Morang, and then further extended to Mernda by 2018. The crossing here was upgraded to accommodate these changes, so has a fairly new layout with modern equipment The crossing currently has: - Two General Signals E-Bells. The bell on the eastern side (which is a Type-3) is programmed to sound out after the boom gates have lowered, while the bell on the western side is programmed to sound continuously until the boom gates rise - Westinghouse cross-arms - Marked Westinghouse lights - Safetran boom gate mechanisms with unmarked bases
