The Easter Bunny | What does a bunny have to do with Jesus? | An Easter lesson for kids

Douglas talks about how you can't stop bunnies, and you DEFINITELY can't stop Jesus. Douglas recently learned that bunnies are part of the celebration of Easter because bunnies sort of represent life, and on Easter we're celebrating that Jesus is alive! Douglas also recently learned that bunnies are sort like super heroes, you just can't get rid of them. A long time ago, there were no bunnies in Australia, then a man brought 24 rabbit from England because he missed hunting rabbits. Within sixty years that 24 rabbits turned into 10 BILLION RABBITS. And the bunnies were causing a lot of problems so the Australian government tried all sort of things to get rid of them, but they just couldn't, and there are still rabbits in Australia today. When Jesus was walking around and telling people the Good News, this caused a lot of problems for the religious leaders at the time, so they tried all sorts of things to try to discredit Jesus or get rid of him, but none of them worked. They even KILLED Jesus, but even death couldn't stop him because he rose again from the dead three days later! And Jesus' death and resurrection is what we celebrate on Easter. Jesus is WAY more powerful than bunnies, but next time you see a rabbit I hope that you'll remember that you can't stop Jesus Christ!
