The town could not stop the encroaching sand dunes. It passes over the dunes of Kenfig Nature Reserve, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Walk takes about 1 and a half hours. There is limited parking by Maudlam Church and there is a pub next door, the Angel Inn.
