Well it’s been a bigger job than we ever imagined, but at long last the hood is hinged again! And you can’t even see them! … wait … what? … We set out last time to redesign the ugly factory hinges using parts from a BMW E60 5-Series, and although they seemed promising, on further investigation, they won’t push the hood far enough forward to clear the bumper… which remains stationary. So, we spent the opposite of a "short while" researching and modelling different designs until we were blue in the face… Let’s see what we came up with!
