He is an eyewitness of events that took place in 1947 at the time of India Pakistan partition. he left his birthplace village Dangauli/Dangoli situated in district Rupnagar at the age of 12 years. His story is also published in a renowned book "The Punjab Bloodied, Partitioned and Cleansed" by Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed. This book was published by a publisher in Dehli in 2011.
