Grief is a process that everyone goes through in life more so, particularly in the loss of a loved one. It is different from depression. In grief, we experience pleasure and love from God and it is a pure emotional response to a situation in life. Depression - we cannot see the light at all and we are negative always. During a funeral where the Pastor preaches a sermon, it is often one of the best sermons to hear as it forces you to think about what do you want to get out of this life. Life ends at the coffin but do we care about eternal life? In Ecclesiastes 7:2: It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting.
