Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Betty Amongi is the spotlight after a Ugandan family of Asian decent accused her of trying to grab their land and properties in Kololo, an upscale Kampala residential area. A member of the family made the claims while appearing before the commission of inquiry into land matters sitting here in Kampala. The minister was expected to appear before the commission but did not show up. She, however, told NTV that she was not scheduled to appear and also dismissed claims that she seeks to grab land.
