Sandeep Reddy Vanga was like so you guys find Kabir Singh offensive, okay hold my ber, sorry whiskey because that's what alpha men drink and wine is a big no because that’s for women, I'm not saying it, Ranbir Kapoor's character said it, not in your face kinda way but yeah that was the implication. He also implied only puny men trim their bushy groin, alpha men walk with braids between their legs. Come on Sandeep, stop justifying your unhygienic practices. One of my friends used to believe that and he got a bacterial infection. Well coming back to the topic, Animal is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s self indulgence on steroids. And the blockbuster it is turning out to be, he must be ego tripping already. The man edited the film himself and it shows how much this narcissistic genius was in love with his work. The film drags on forever in the second half and not a single duck was given in the editing room. Dmn, that second half was written only to justify Kabir Singh and prove that he is a saint when compared to Ranvijay Singh Balbir, the Animal. When it comes to a man-woman relationship, Ranvijay will chew Kabir up and spit him out. And the reactions from the woke feminists have been entertaining, to say the least. And then there's the other end of the spectrum. They speak as if Gangs of Wasseypur, Bandit Queen, Rakhta Charitra, Raman Raghav 2.0, Haider, Ek Haseena thi, Shaitan, LST, Matrbhoomi and a dozen more disturbing violet films never happened. But yes I like that Animal doesn't give a sht about political correctness. And that's a rarity these days. Because the directors who were constantly pushing the boundaries in this regard have been lying dormant for the last decade or so. Ram Gopal Varma, Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bharadwaj. Where are these guys? So definitely there was a gap that needed to be filled. The last time I saw something politically incorrect in a movie was in kgf chapter 2 when Rocky said he needs a babe for his entertainment and then he abducts and imprisons his love interest. That scene raised a few eyebrows. So yeah fck political correctness and package it into a mass entertainer, something that even the likes of Anurag Kashyap couldn't do during their peak. I mean Shahid Kapoor was not introduced as a super star, rocking star, rebel star, wannabe star or unfortunate star while marketing Kaminey or Haider. And for those who think animal isn't a mass entertainer, wait for this film to make enough money, 2 years down the line every fuking film will look like Animal. I mean at the time KGF released, no way it could have been categorized as a mass entertainer. 2018 was the year in which Sanju, Padmavat, Simmba and Badhai ho were the top grossers. Fast forward to 2022 and 23, KGF 2, RRR, Vikram, Kantara, Pathan, Leo, Jawan, Tiger3 and now Animal. These are the current mass entertainers and Animal is pushing the boundaries even further. And honestly, like very honestly, Animal has violenc just for the sake of being a violen film like many other films that I just mentioned, a side-effect of packaging a film as a mass entertainer.
