In this video I will show step-by-step how to install a Snap-on ratchet repair kit into a Snap-on ratchet. [Component List & Notes)] Ratchet: FCF72 (1/4" head; 3/8" square drive) Kit: RKRFC72 (3/8" Gear provided) Cover plate: FC72-2 (if converting to 3/8") Tools Needed: T8 torx (or flat-tip on later dual-pattern fasteners) This install technique will work on all dual 80 technology (1/4" chassis) ratchet variants: GT72, T72, TF72, THL72, THLF72, THLL72, TL72, TLL72, TX72, THLD72, THLDF72. Exceptions: TLLF72, THLLF72 (see footnote below: Objective B(3)) [Objective A: Repair and Replace] The techniques demonstrated in this video are identical in installing (1/4", 72 tooth repair kit RKRT72A). This video will help you by providing a videographic walk-through. [Objective B: Conversion from 1/4" Drive to 3/8" Drive] If you wish to convert your existing 1/4" drive Snap-on ratchet to 3/8" drive, you will need: (1) Repair kit RKRFC72 (or equivalent components) (2) Cover plate for FC72/FCF72 (3/8" Drive, compact head) (3) Standard head; see exceptions below** **Note: This conversion will NOT work on a HIGH STRENGTH head found on the THLLF72/TLLF72 (identified by two flathead fasteners ran in from the rear) Best regards.
