Make Dovetail Joints with a Bandsaw // Jig + Marker + Directions

A good dovetail joint is essential for both functional and aesthetic reasons, making it a cornerstone of fine woodworking and craftsmanship. These types of joints can easily be created with a hand saw and a few years of hand saw experience under the belt. But...for the rest of us that are not trained to make these, making a dovetail can be a difficult chore to make with a power tool due to the intricate angles. In this video, I'm going to show you a jig that you can use that will help you make the dovetail you've dreamed of making...with a bandsaw. The jig uses a base and 2 carriages to create the tails and the pins. You'll also need to mark your stock, so I've included an easy to make dovetail marking jig.
