Normally, I would build my survival homes on plains, forests, mountains, etc., but I have never created one in the swamp. Here's a build guide on how I built my Minecraft Starter House using mostly wood (oak & spruce) material on water. It also comes with a deck for your boats and a mini garden as well! This is a build compatible with vanilla Minecraft. The only mods and resource packs used are for recording and improving upon the textures and visuals of the game.
