In this video I will be demonstrating the production of Bindings also know as bandings for guitars. Using the Accu-Slice system with the Accu-Sled II we produced a total of 9 different patterns of binders. I produced single layer bindings as well as multi layer or laminate bindings. All of the binders were 36” long by 0.080” thick and the height varied from 0.250 for the single wood binders to 0.300 for some of the multi-layer binders. This video will demonstrate the cutting on the bindings on the band saw, sanding the bindings on the board sander and bending the bindings with a bending iron. Slicing these bindings on the band saw is much safer than slicing them on the table saw. In addition, the kerf of the band saw blade is only 0.045" where the table saw blade would have a kerf of at least 0.125".
