Qatar Airways Trip Report flying from Doha to Cairo onboard one of the Qatar Airways B787s, on a beautiful morning over Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. A very comfortable flight from Doha to Cairo onboard the Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. We were lucky to have the middle seat empty, what improved even more the whole experience onboard. This was the first time I was on the landside of Doha airport and I must say I was impressed. It matches perfectly the airside. I start to understand why it was named "The Best Airport in 2022" (and many other years). It's really spectacular, huge, beautiful and, most importantly, easy to use and with very friendly staff. We boarded our Boeing 787 by bus, what gave us some really nice views of the airport from outside and we even saw some planes from other perspective. As many of you already know, I don't like flying on the Boeing 787 because of its windows: after some years they become yellowish and, apart, the crew can control them remotely. Anyway, for a 3-hour flight, there's no problem. We took off northbound from Doha Hamad International Airport. For the first time, I took a seat on the left side and finally could enjoy the fantastic views of Doha. Simply amazing. Loved them. We made a left turn and flew towards Bahrein, just before starting to overfly the desert of Saudi Arabia. After 2h30min of flight, we started our descent to Cairo, where we landed ahead of the schedule after a bumpy approach over Cairo. About the onboard service... well, what am I gonna tell you that you don't know about Qatar Airways... They are always on the top best catering and today just showed again why... I chose the lamb sausage with french omelet and vegetables. A starter we had fresh fruit and raspberry yogurt as dessert. O warm croissant with marmelade was also served. Everything was delicious, it's amazing how they can prepare everything so tasty. Now it's your turn! Have you ever flown with Qatar Airways? How was your experience? Which route and airplane model?
